Tincup Introduces Rye Whiskey
Colorado-based Tincup has released a new rye whiskey.
Tincup Rye used rye recipes from miners and settlers and has been made with water from the nearby Rocky Mountains [Tincup is named after Tin Cup – a Colorado mining town founded in 1879], then was aged for three years before being bottled at 45% alcohol by volume [90 proof] and is said to contain notes of caramel, tobacco and sweet vanilla.
Tincup has released the rye in conjunction with their Partner in Adventure initiative, which features the stories of “modern adventure pairs”. Explorers are invited to share stories of their adventures with their partners on Instagram or Twitter for a chance to win an all-inclusive, once-in-a-lifetime trip to explore the Rocky Mountains and the town of Tin Cup. Entrants must follow @tincupwhiskey and post a photo to their public account using #PartnerInAdventure and #contest.
Tincup Rye Whiskey is being made available for $30 per 750ml bottle.
