Tomatin Shuffles Lineup
The Tomatin Distillery is shuffling its lineup by ditching a pair of 15-Year-Old and 30-Year-Old whiskies from their roster and bringing in a 14-Year-Old plus a vintage 1988 batch release. The first is a 14-Year-Old Port Wood Finish that has spent the first 13 years of its life in Bourbon oak barrels and the final year in Portuguese port pipes that had held Tawny port for the past 30-40 years. The 1988 vintage single malt also comes from former bourbon and port casks but will only be released in batches with the first batch numbering 2500 bottles.
The 14-Year-Old Port Wood offers a 46% alcohol content [92 proof] and sells for $55 per bottle while the 1988 vintage also has a 46% alcohol content [92 proof] but sells for $250 per bottle.
