WC Scales 12 Bridges With Hawthorne Apple Cider
WhiskyCritic continues our tasting spree with a tasting of yet another tasty cider, this time the Hawthorne Apple from 12 Bridge Ciderworks in Oregon.
The Hawthorne Apple is 6.5% alcohol by volume and is said to be made with all natural, fresh-pressed apple juice from Pacific Northwest apples before being fermented with an English style ale yeast.
WC found the Hawthorne Apple to be zesty and refreshing and would highly recommend it as the drink of choice for any and all upcoming summer barbecue backyard soirees.
Hawthorne Apple is their flagship cider but 12 Bridge Ciderworks also makes several other ciders – such as the Broadway Cranberry-Pomegranate and Steel Black Cherry [named after the names of bridges in Portland] – but the Hawthorne Apple is a surefire winner for those who already like cider as well as those who may be trying it for the first time.
WC awards 12 Bridge Ciderworks’ Hawthorne Apple a healthy and well-deserved 93 out of 100 on our scale of cider goodness.
