White Peak Reveals Wire Works Virgin Oak Finish Whisky

UK Peak District-based distillery White Peak has released a limited edition whisky – Wire Works Virgin Oak Finish – highlighting its maturation in American oak barrels.

White Peak Wire Works Virgin Oak Finish is a lightly peated single malt whisky, first matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in virgin American oak barrels, bottled at 51.7% alcohol by volume [103.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of brown sugar, cherry, cinnamon, toffee and vanilla.

Only 3,000 bottles of White Peak Wire Works Virgin Oak Finish are being made available for $80 per 700ml bottle.
