Old Forester has released 117 Series with Prohibition Era Still Proof as a limited edition release honoring Repeal Day – the day [December 5] Prohibition ended in the USA in 1933.
During Prohibition however, Old Forester was one of the few distilleries legally permitted to produce bourbon under the guise of so-called medicinal purposes.
Old Forester 117 Series: Prohibition Era Still Proof was bottled at 65% alcohol by volume [130 proof] and, as such, is the same strength as Old Forester during Prohibition.
Old Forester 117 Series: Prohibition Era Still Proof is being made available in limited quantities via the official website and in Kentucky for $65 per bottle.
