Teeling Whiskey Rolls Out 40 Years Old Single Malt
As the oldest and rarest edition from Teeling to date, this Irish whiskey is one of the world’s most exclusive releases. Previous releases have included the 33 Years Old and 37 Years Old.
With a 40-year age statement, Teeling 40 Years Old Single Malt was distilled in 1983 and matured in ex-bourbon casks. Each decanter has been hand-decorated with gold infill and comes in a premium gift box.
In addition, each box carries a hidden gift inside. The packaging also differs from the standard whisky purchase:
- The bottles are individually numbered,
- Come with their own certificates of authenticity, and
- Include an invitation to the Teeling Whiskey Distillery for a special tasting experience.
Teeling Whiskey New Teeling 40 Years Old Single Malt
Comments made by Jack Teeling, founder of the Teeling Whiskey Company, highlight the value placed on each customer. “We are extremely proud and lucky to be custodians of some of the oldest Irish Single Malt. Which we have been mindfully releasing through our Vintage Reserve Collection.
“We are honored to unveil the pinnacle of this collection with our new “Modern Classic”, the Teeling 40 Years Old Single Malt. One of the oldest Irish single malts ever bottled and a rare piece of Irish whiskey history — 40 years in the making.”
Besides this launch, Teeling Whiskey announced its new ‘Phoenix Rising Scholarship Programme’. The partnership was made with Technological University Dublin, located just three kilometers away. This initiative aims to provide scholarships for students interested in Irish brewing, distilling, and hospitality. Student applicants will receive mentoring from Teeling Whiskey employees across all departments.
Part of the proceeds raised from the Teeling 40 Years Old Single Malt will go toward funding their studies.
Notably, Stephen Teeling, sales and marketing director for Teeling Whiskey, confirmed the distillery’s commitment to innovation. “Social sustainability has always been a priority for us at Teeling Whiskey. We are committed to playing our part in the Dublin community, supporting those across our industry.
“We can think of no better use of our new 40 Years Old than to help us support and inspire the new generation of Irish whiskey makers. Education is the cornerstone of progress, and through these scholarships, we aim to give back as much as we can locally here in Dublin.”
