Old Forester Has A Birthday Bourbon
Old Forester has released a Birthday Bourbon at their Old Forester distillery in Louisville, Kentucky and will be holding a national sweepstakes for the chance to purchase one of the bottles. Old Forester releases Birthday Bourbon every year on September 2 in honor of founder George Garvin Brown’s birthday [though bottles will not be available for purchase at the distillery on this date].
The 2024 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon was aged for 12 years, bottled at 53.5% alcohol by volume [106.6 proof] and is said to offer notes of apple, apricot and cinnamon.
Old Forester’s nationwide sweepstake for a chance to purchase a bottle is running on their website through August 21, 2024 and winners must purchase their bottle at the Old Forester Distillery between September 5, 2024 and December 14, 2024.
Non-winners – aka, the rest of us – may purchase 2024 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon when it is made available at nationwide retailers for $200 per bottle.
