House of Delamain Celebrates 200 Years with New Whisky
The House of Delamain presents L’Edition Rare du Bicentenaire as part of its celebrations for its 200th anniversary. The mix is made up of five great cognacs from the Grande Champagne region. The 10-liter dame-Jeanne bottle that this drop comes in shows 200 years of skill.
Founded in 1824, the family’s quest for the best cognac has been influenced by explorations of the natural world. This has led the House to make important decisions on XO artistry. Only Grande Champagne, the original Cognac terroir, is used to make Delamain cognacs.
The spirit is matured in seasoned French wood and reduced using “faibles” to retain its character. This dualistic strategy blends scientific rigor with creative enthusiasm. Thus the house produces cognacs that are exquisite and profoundly deep, the finest embodiment of this unique terroir.

L’Edition unique du Bicentenaire features five distinct eaux-de-vie chosen and grown over the years by Delamain cellar masters. Together, the two most recent Delamain Cellar Masters produced a well-balanced blend that emphasized the distinctiveness of the eaux-de-vie.
The result is the liquid representation of time and its forces, a mix where powerful fruit notes meet deep aromatic depth, and a tribute to Delamain’s 200-year heritage.
One of Chanel’s twelve exclusive Maisons d’art, the renowned Maison Goossens, was entrusted by Delamain for this milestone. Through seven painstaking steps of craftsmanship, including bronze casting and gold plating, Goossens created a magnificent 245-piece sculpture that adorns the 10-liter dame-jeanne with vineyard bird and organic themes.
The dame-Jeanne will be up for auction online by Bonhams between November 19 and December 6, marking the culmination of Delamain‘s bicentennial celebrations. In addition, the successful bidder will be invited to Delamain’s Jarnac vaults for an immersive experience with three guests and receive a 70cl bottle of L’edition Rare du Bicentenaire.
