A New Bowmore Single Malt? The Devil, You Say!
Halloween is just around the corner and if you fancy yourself a new single malt after the ghouls, Miley Cyruses and other scary creatures have stopped coming to your door, then Bowmore has just the thing for you – some of The Devil’s Casks. Bowmore is created on the Scottish Inner Hebrides island of Islay and local legend has it that the devil got into the distillery one night and disappeared [into the casks, some say…cue spooky music here]. The new single malt has been aged 10 years in first fill sherry casks which will undoubtedly bring out some heated exchanges.
Bowmore will produce 6000 bottles of The Devil’s Casks [114 poof, 57% alcohol] for sale beginning in October 2013 at the going rate approximately 82 American dollars per bottle.
