Bacardi Goes All In On Teeling

Spirits behemoth Bacardi has purchased the remaining stake of ownership in family-owned Teeling Distillery, producers of Irish whiskey, from founding brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling.

Bacardi initially purchased a minority stake in the Dublin-based Irish whiskey producer in 2017 and gradually increased ownership to become the majority shareholder in 2023.

Bacardi claims that the Teeling brothers will remain part of the brand to foster continued growth. After Bacardi’s 2017 entry, the spirits behemoth used their considerable global presence to muscle the Irish whiskey into more than doubled growth to the point where Teeling is now exported to more than 80 markets worldwide.
