Ballantine’s Adds New Whisky to True Music Icons Collection
Top whisky distillery Ballantine’s has released the second expression to its limited edition True Music Icons Collection. The collection which focuses on top rock bands added the AC/DC Whisky tribute to the group.
Notably, the special tribute to the rock stars coincides with the band’s 50Th anniversary. The True Music Icons Collection has already released a special whisky for the rock group, Queen. The AC/DC whisky has become the second installment of the edition.
True Music Platform
In addition, the Scotch whisky giant seems to focus on musical excellence rather than geographic location. While Queen is a British band, AC/DC is an Australian rock band formed in 1973. the group was created by Malcolm Young and Angus Young.
According to Ballantine’s Global Marketing Director, Mathieu Deslandes, the True Music platform serves as an integration hub for the finest rockstars and the finest whiskies.
Deslandes said: “Ballantine’s has a storied history within music, via our True Music platform, and through this collection, the finest rockstars meet the Finest whisky. We can’t wait to put the B into AC/DC with this collectible design and see it rocking shelves around the world.
Ballantine’s has always been behind those who do things their own way – and AC/DC personify this attitude with their unique and highly renowned music style that has remained the steadfast essence of the band for 50 years.”
This brand of blended Scotch whisky is made by Pernod Ricard in Dumbarton, Scotland. Ballantine’s uses malts from two distilleries, Miltonduff and Glenburgie. These companies produce a unique malt that is blended with 50 single malts and four single grains.
As the music industry celebrates its icons, Ballantine’s has found a special way to unite both. A limited edition that honors the work of rockstars. This provides the best way to celebrate by adding their spirit to the whisky libraries.
