Diageo Adds The Cocktail Collection: Crown Royal Black Cherry Whisky Sour
In a move favorable to whisky lovers, Diageo has expanded its ready-to-serve (RTS) cocktail line. The distillery has added a new spirit to The Cocktail Collection: Crown Royal Black Cherry Whisky Sour.
In October 2023, Bulleit launched its bottled Manhattan and Old Fashioned cocktails, which had been available since 2022, including Ketel One Vodka Espresso Martinis, Ketel One Vodka Cosmopolitans, and Tanqueray Gin Negronis.
In addition, The Cocktail Collection will partner with several NFL’s leading ladies throughout the season. This will bring more dynamic personalities to the collaboration. Initiating with Sydney Warner, wife of San Francisco 49ers’ Fred Warner, more will be announced later.
“Game days are our time to raise a glass, support our favorite teams, and enjoy every moment,” says Sydney Warner.
“Cocktails are a must-have for our celebrations, and The Cocktail Collection makes it so easy to serve up something impressive and delicious. Whether we’re at the stadium or hosting at home, the Crown Royal Whisky Sour Cocktail with Black Cherry adds that perfect touch of flavor and fun to our game-day traditions!”
Diageo Adds New Spirit to The Cocktail Collection

Earlier this year, Diageo added a sixth product to its portfolio, a Margarita made with Astral Tequila, which it acquired from Davos Brands in 2020.
Featuring Canadian whisky Crown Royal, lemon juice, and natural black cherry flavors, the RTS can be served over ice in a rocks glass and garnished with cherries.
In April, Crown Royal launched its latest flavored whisky, Blackberry. The news of its launch thrilled whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
Nikhil Shah, Brand Director at Diageo, shares his enthusiasm for the new spirit. “This growth reflects the strength of our world-class spirits. This product line addresses the problem of people being intimidated to make cocktails head-on such as Sunday football or dinner parties.
“We’ve always aimed to allow people more time with their guests vs. being stuck mixing up drinks for the entire gathering. With each of our offerings, all you have to do is open, pour, and serve your way to a delicious, high-quality cocktail.”
In June, the company surprised the sector when it entered the single malt space with its 20% ABV cocktail, available in 350ml bottles (four servings) and 750ml bottles (eight servings).
