Kavalan Adds To Sherry-Casked Lineup

Taiwanese whisky distillery Kavalan has made an addition to their Solist series of sherry-casked single malt whiskies with a Palo Cortado cask-aged single malt.

The Solist series of whiskies from the Taiwan-based whisky producer now features seven sherry cask-aged whiskies: Fino, Oloroso, Amontillado, Manzanilla, Pedro Ximénez, Moscatel and Palo Cortado.

Kavalan’s Solist Palo Cortado was bottled at cask strength – somewhere between 50% to 59.9% alcohol by volume [100 proof to 119.8 proof] and is said to offer notes of cardamom, citrus, cocoa powder, toffee and, of course, vanilla.

Kavalan’s Solist Palo Cortado is being made available in Taiwan in 750ml bottles.
