Timorous Beastie – a new Highland blended malt Scotch whisky – has emerged from Scotland this week. The whisky is a non-chill-filtered “vatted malt” that is a blend of whiskies from Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Glengoyne distilleries. Jefferson’s small batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon whisky has finally made it across the pond and will make its debut in the UK this month. Jefferson’s, along with Jefferson’s Reserve, bourbon, in particular, is created by combining the ingredients of eight to 12 barrels of bourbon of varying ages. Jefferson’s Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky will retail for $60 and $90 for Jefferson’s Reserve.

Vintage 2000 – a Highland single malt Scotch whisky – has been released by anCnoc. The whisky has been aged in Spanish oak former sherry butts as well as American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled at a non-chill-filtered and uncolored 46% alcohol content [92 proof] and is said to have Asian spice notes.
