Mortlach Goes Alexander’s Way
Speyside distiller Mortlach has released a 14-Year-Old Alexander’s Way – named after the brand founder Alexander Cowie’s distillation process. Benromach Chateau Cissac initially matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks then moved to Bordeaux-region Château Cissac wine casks for two years before being bottled at 45% alcohol by volume [90 proof]. Only 7,789 bottles of Benromach Château Cissac Bordeaux Wood Finish 2010 are being made available in the UK for $62 per bottle.

For their first commercial release, North British Distillery has revealed their North British 1960 – a 58-year-old single grain whisky.
