The Macallan has released a sherry-seasoned 30-year-old single malt whisky to their Double Cask series. The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old was matured in both sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to contain notes of cinnamon, fig, ginger, red apple, toffee and vanilla. The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old is being made available for $4,100 per bottle.
