Saint Archer Gold Bites The Dust
Molson Coors announced that they will be shelving their low-calorie beer offering – Saint Archer Gold – a mere six months after its launch earlier this year.
Saint Archer Gold was being positioned as a competitor to Anheuser-Busch’s top-selling Michelob Ultra but Molson Coors says a major reason behind the demise of the beer is due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, which disrupted Saint Archer Gold’s marketing plans.
San Diego-based Saint Archer Brewery was the first craft brewery Molson Coors acquired [in 2013] and will continue operations – minus the Gold low-calorie brand.
