Glen Moray Walks Out Wine Casked Whiskies

Speyside distiller Glen Moray has released the 2020 version of their Distillery Edition whiskies – three wine-casked whiskies.

Glen Moray’s trio of single cask wine cask-finished whiskies consist of: Chardonnay Cask, Burgundy Cask and Chenin Blanc Cask. Glen Moray’s 2020 Distillery Edition whiskies have each been matured in the ex-wine casks for between 16 and 17 years.

Glen Moray Chardonnay Cask was bottled at 58.9% alcohol by volume (117.8 proof) and is said to contain notes of citrus, pineapple and toffee.

Glen Moray Burgundy Cask was bottled at 60.1% alcohol by volume (120.2 proof) and is said to contain notes of almond, chocolate and and lemongrass.

Glen Moray Chenin Blanc Cask was bottled at 60.3% alcohol by volume (120.6 proof) and is said to contain notes of chamomile tea, ginger and Seville orange.

All three Glen Moray 2020 Distillery Edition whiskies are being made available for $107 each per 700ml bottle.
