Deal Puts Shanky’s Whip in Australia Whisky Market
An impressive partnership was reached between Irish whiskey liqueur Shanky’s Whip and top beverage distributor Amber Beverage Group.
According to a press release, the deal reflects the company’s planned expansion to international markets. the Amber group is a globally recognized distributor with extensive reach in Australia.
As is expressed in Tim Dunlap’s words,
“Our partnership with Amber Beverage Group will take our distribution footprint to the next level and play an intrinsic part in our growth ambitions in Australia.”
Dunlap is the commercial director for Shanky’s Whip and signed the deal with Tanya Mah, head of marketing at Amber Beverage. Mah told the press that their goal is to push the brand throughout their distribution channels.
“Shanky’s Whip will benefit from our nationwide distribution network in Australia, which includes local representation in all states. In the year ahead we’ll be firmly focused on growing the brand in major and specialist retail outlets and hospitality venues while encouraging trial.”
According to the deal, some of the most popular flavors of the brand will make their way to store shelves starting at $58. These flavors include:

About Shanky’s Whip Whisky Brand
According to legends touted by the brand, the whisky was named after a jockey called Shanky. He was thrown from his horse in mid-race. Nonetheless, he refused to surrender and soon returned to the race with a whip and an ostrich. A whisky fan, but not liking the coarse savor at the back of his throat, he added some cream. And so the spirit was born.
Shanky’s Whip is A blend of black Irish Whisky, Irish spirits, with the flavor of cream and vanilla. The spirit was launched in 2021 by Shanky and Shireman, a Biggar & Leith company.
