Starward Comes Out With Left Field
Australia-based Starward has come out of left field and released Left-Field – a whisky aged in multiple red wine barrels.
Starward Left-Field whisky was matured in 100% French oak red wine barrels from the Australian Barossa Valley and Yarra Valley regions – those wine barrels had previously held Shiraz, Cabernet and Pinot Noir, bottled at 40% alcohol by volume [80 proof] and is said to contain notes of apples, tropical fruit and vanilla spice.
Starward recommends that Left-Field can be served with tonic water or mixed with vermouth and grapefruit soda to make a Spritz, or a classic Sour.
Starward Left-Field is being made available exclusively in Europe for $50 per 700ml bottle.
