Stranahan’s Unveils Founder’s Release American Single Malt

Colorado-based American single malt producer Stranahan’s has released a new whiskey – Stranahan’s Founder’s Release – in celebration of the designation and recognition of American single malt as an official category by the federal government’s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) on January 19, 2025.

Stranahan’s Founder’s Release is a a 12-year-old whiskey initially matured in charred oak barrels, finished in former bourbon and blonde ale casks, bottled at 60% alcohol by volume [120 proof] and is said to offer notes of chocolate hazelnut, clove and nutmeg.

Stranahan’s Founder’s Release 12 Year Old is being made available for $200 per bottle.
