Teeling Adds 18-Year-Old Single Malt To Renaissance Series
Dublin-based Teeling Distillery has released the fourth single malt in their Renaissance series – an 18-year-old finished in ex-Pineau des Charentes wine casks. The Renaissance series was designed to celebrate the ‘true global renaissance’ of Teeling, Dublin and Irish whiskey.
Teeling Renaissance 18 Year Old was matured in ex-bourbon barrels for more than 16 years before being finished in ex-red Pineau des Charentes fortified wine casks from France, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and said to contain notes of almond, apricot, cherry and pineapple.
Only 9,000 bottles of Teeling Renaissance 18 Year Old are being made available in Ireland from the Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin, for $160 per 700ml bottle. [However, the single malt Irish whiskey will also eventually be made available in Asia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia and the UK.
