Johnnie Walker Rolls Out Black, Gold And Red Bottles
Johnnie Walker is celebrating their 200th anniversary this year and to commemorate the occasion, they have created limited edition bottles of their Black, Gold and Red Label blended Scotch whiskies. Each bottle was named after the color of its label and upgraded to an opaque wrap for the limited edition designs.
Johnnie Walker founder John Walker opened a small grocery store in Kilmarnock, Scotland, 200 years ago, and eventually began to sell and make blended Scotch whisky. Walker’s son, Alexander, then launched Johnnie Walker’s first commercial blend in 1867 [called Old Highland Whisky]. The Johnnie Walker brand is currently owned by spirits behemoth, Diageo, and is available in 180 countries.
All three bottles are available to purchase now from brick and mortar retailers as well as online.
