5Nines Reveal Single Cask Whiskies
Australia-based 5Nines Distillery has released three limited edition single cask whiskies – Select Single Cask – 5ND090 Sherry Cask, Select Single Cask – 5ND060 Pinot Cask, and Cask Strength – 5ND0107 Liqueur Frontignac.
The 5ND090 Sherry Cask whisky was matured in a French oak cask seasoned with Spanish PX sherry, bottled at 46.7% alcohol by volume [93.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of butter, caramel and pears.
The 5ND060 Pinot Cask whisky has been matured in barrels seasoned with Murdoch Hill Wines Pinot Noir, bottled at 49.4% alcohol by volume [98.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of ginger, toffee, and vanilla.
The 5ND0107 Cask Strength Liqueur Frontignac was aged in French oak barrels seasoned with Clare Valley Liqueur Frontignac, bottled at 57.8% alcohol by volume [115.6 proof] and is said to contain notes of apples, caramel and honey.
Only 146 bottles of 5ND090 Sherry Cask whisky are being made available for $170 per 700ml bottle. Only 143 bottles of 5ND060 Pinot Cask whisky are being made available, also for $170 per 700ml bottle. Finally, a mere 120 bottles of 5ND0107 Cask Strength Liqueur Frontignac are being made available for $210 per 700ml bottle.
