Uncle Nearest Receives Investor Suitors

Beleaguered Uncle Nearest Tennessee Whiskey Distillery is on the receiving end of acquisition interest from Georgia-based investor group NexGen 2780.

Uncle Nearest currently has debts totaling over $108 million after being placed in receivership in August 2025 from founders Fawn and Keith Weaver.

If approved, NexGen2780 – which consists of both individuals and institutions – will manage the court-supervised Uncle Nearest debt resolution process and potential acquisitions.
