Aye Matey, Remy Martin Resurrects The Black Pearl
Legendary cognac house Remy Martin has resurrected the Black Pearl – not the pirate ship from the popular “Pirates of the Caribbean” film series – but rather, the crystal decanters used to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the Louis XIII cognac. The decanters are styled to resemble the flask originally used by house founder Paul-Emile Remy Martin when he created the Louis XIII in 1874 while the cognac held within uses eaux-de-vie ranging from 40 and 100 years old from the Grande Champagne region.
Only 775 decanters of Louis XIII Black Pearl Anniversary Edition will be made and are available at select European and Middle East airport and hotel locations for $13,000 each.
