Jack Daniels Creates McLaren Formula One Edition
Jack Daniel’s has joined the Formula One fray with their release Jack Daniel’s Halo MK1 – of a limited edition Tennessee whiskey collaboration with the McLaren Formula One team – designed to appear like the safety halo around the cockpits of all Formula One race cars.
Jack Daniel’s Halo MK1 Tennessee Whiskey is composed of Jack Daniel’s signature mash bill of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley, was aged new American white oak barrels, bottled at 58.7% alcohol by volume [117.4 proof] and is said to offer notes of caramel, chocolate maple and pipe tobacco.
The 58.7% ABV level is a nod to McLaren Racing’s founder Bruce McLaren – whose first race car was an Austin 7 Ulster carrying the number 58.
Jack Daniel’s Halo MK1 Tennessee Whiskey is being made available for whiskey is available in select worldwide markets for $600 per bottle.
