Renault Introduces Coffee-Inspired Cognac

Cognac Renault has released a new cognac they are calling Avec, that has been created to drink with coffee – which they figure will go over big in the Scandinavian countries where cognac and coffee go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Avec uses so-called “brasero toasting” where casks are inundated in steaming water three times.

The eaux-de-vie blend in Avec are the usual suspects ‒ Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne ‒ but are only between three to eight years, eliminating an age designation for Avec.
