Annandale Distillery Puts Its First Cask On The Block For $1.54 Million
The newly reborn Annandale Distillery in Dumfriesshire, Scotland, has put their first cask of whisky – which was filled on November 15 last year – up for sale for a whopping $1.54 million. Cask No.1 is dubbed “Man o’ Words” in reference to the Scottish poet Robert Burns, who has strong heritage in the whisky industry, and the whisky is said to have fruit and peaty notes.
The Annandale Distillery was initially established in 1836 and produced Johnnie Walker whisky until 1918 before it was shuttered and eventually restored for its grand re-opening last year.
