Cutwater Launches Ghost Ship For Halloween
San Diego-based Cutwater canned cocktail brand has turned their San Diego tasting room and kitchen into a “Ghost Ship” – a nautical-themed experience for Halloween that features themed Cutwater cocktails – such as the Spooky Sour – and Halloween merchandise. Cutwater is currently the top selling spirits-based canned cocktail in the USA market.
Cutwater launched in 2007 as a project at Ballast Point Brewing and was purchased by Anheuser-Busch in 2019. The name Cutwater is from the Black Skimmer seabird, which is known to “cut” into the water to catch fish.
Cutwater’s 50,000 sq. ft. San Diego production facility, restaurant, and tasting room was the first distillery to open in the city since Prohibition.
Cutwater’s new “real spirits inside” campaign continues throughout the month with related social media content, such as Halloween recipes and short films.
