The Macallan has revealed their 2018 release of their new limited edition single malt whisky – The Macallan 50-Year-Old – but you may require a hefty loan to purchase a bottle.

The Macallan 50-Year-Old has spent the entire half century’s worth of time maturing in a single European oak Sherry butt from Spain before being bottled at 44% alcohol by volume [88 proof].

Only 200 individually numbered bottles of The Macallan 50-Year-Old’s 2018 release will be made available in April 2018 at a whopping $35,000 per bottle. Of course, you do receive a solid oak box featuring an etched face inlaid with a matte gold badged age statement with that bottle.
