The latest in the Orphan Barrel series [launched in 2014] is Forager’s Keep – a 26-year-old single malt Scotch whisky originating from the former Pittyvaich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland, which closed in 1993 after a brief 18-year life span. Forager’s Keep was bottled at 48% alcohol by volume [96 proof] and is said to contain notes of apple, orange and vanilla.
