Brown-Forman Officially Seals Deal Of Canadian Mist/Early Times To Sazerac

Brown-Forman owner of Jack Daniel’s and Woodford Reserve – has officially finalized their deal selling notable brands Canadian Mist and Early Times whiskies to Sazerac [owner of Buffalo Trace].

The deal was completed last week on July 31, 2020, and includes Sazerac’s acquisition of the Canadian Mist distillery in Collingwood, Canada.

Kentucky whiskey Early Times was purchased by Brown-Forman in 1923 as the company’s first acquired brand and will celebrate its 160th anniversary this year.

Meanwhile, Canadian Mist was purchased by Brown-Forman in 1971 and is the third biggest-selling Canadian whisky brand in the world.
