Louisville, Kentucky-based Michter’s Distillery is releasing Michter’s 20 Year – a re-release of their 20-year-old bourbon. The 2024 release of Michter’s 20 Year is bottled at 57.1% alcohol by volume [114.8 proof]. The 2024 release of Michter’s 20 Year is being made available for $1,200 per bottle.

Shieldaig Unveils Single Malt And Rocket Cat
A new Speyside single malt Scotch whisky was revealed from Shieldaig as well as a cinnamon-flavored whiskey called Rocket Cat. The single malt Shieldaig [“Loch of the Herring” in Norse] is bottled at 40% alcohol content [80 proof] while the Rocket Cat is bottled at 34% alcohol content [68 proof]. Glenfiddich has teamed with the Somerset Cider Brandy company in a deal which will allow Glenfiddich to use Somerset’s barrels to mature their whisky over the course of the next year. Specifically, Somerset will supply 18 cider brandy barrels to Glenfiddich – enough to produce 1800 gallons of whisky [good for 18,000 bottles of whisky] – to age their single malt Scotch whisky.
